@Halloween Meal 2021, Mignardise Spice current shortbread, from the ALL HALLOWS TIDE traditions.
Traditionally the food given out to the poor on the Eve of All Hallows Day, who, like underprivileged trick or treaters, go round to the houses asking for alms. Traditionally a lot thicker, like regular shortbread, these were made thin as the finishing point of the meal. The heart is a modern symbol for the soul.
There were going to be decorated, as they were made ahead of time, but who has time for that.
Damage:
Single Bowl, a baking tray and the shape cutters. Oh and the electric hand mixer/whisk. easy done.
Result:
They could have been dry but I think they were thin so they didn't come out hard. Possibly could have done with the chocolate/caramel decorations proposed. or something. Very good. At least the ones on the table, which weren't overcooked.
