Traditional Japanese Assortment Teishoku

A Teishoku: An assortment of dishes, not all of which I could identify with certainty, but all tasty and different. Included in there was: “Nuts and Japanese Mustard Spinach” (was like Japanese potato salad); Mackerel and Daikon Dish; Beef sukiyaki (with a literal knot of noodles, hot); and Steamed Chicken, Seaweed, and Neba Toro (cold), served along with white rice with pearl barley (which I highly recommend) and miso soup, it was a fantastic meal, equal parts delicious and different. A good selection of new tastes, that I only lament didn’t leave me a little bit more sated.
